house spiders in california

House spiders are common in California, they are most often found inside homes, but can also be found outside under rocks and other objects. They have eight eyes, four on the front and four on the back. They also have two small fangs that they use to bite their prey. They do not have webs like a typical spider, but instead hunt for food using their front legs which are tipped with claws. The house spider’s body is tan or brown with dark brown spots on it. The female house spider is larger than the male, who only grows to about 1/2 inch long while females can grow up to 2 inches long!

Hobo Spiders

Hobo spiders are a type of spider that is brown or gray in color and has a flattened, oval-shaped body. They are about 1/4 to 1/2 inch long, with females being larger than males. Their body color tends to be darker at the top than it is at the bottom. They can also be identified by their two pairs of black stripes, which run down the center of their abdomen and extend onto their legs. Hobo spiders are common throughout much of North America, as well as in parts of Europe and Asia. In the United States they can be found in every state except Alaska, but they are most common along the Pacific Coast and in warm areas such as California and Florida. Hobo spiders are nocturnal hunters who spend most of their time hiding in crevices or under rocks during the day. They have been known to bite humans when disturbed or threatened; however, these bites do not always result in severe symptoms or illness for humans.

False Widow Spiders

False Widow spiders are not as dangerous as they appear. They have been given that name because they are often mistaken for the Black Widow spider, which is poisonous and has a bite that can be fatal. The False Widow is in fact harmless to humans. They do not have venomous fangs, so even if you do get bitten by one it won’t hurt you. However, it’s still best to avoid them if possible as they are known to bite when provoked.

Brown Recluse Spiders

Brown Recluse Spiders are a species of spider that can be found throughout the United States, except for Hawaii and Alaska. They are not aggressive by nature, but they do bite when provoked or threatened. Brown Recluse spiders are not poisonous; however, their venom contains a toxin that can cause severe tissue damage in humans. The bite is often not felt initially, but symptoms can appear within 6-8 hours after being bitten. These include: pain at the bite site; itching; redness around the bite; fever; nausea; vomiting; muscle aches; and tiredness.

Black Widow Spiders

Black Widow Spiders are one of the most dangerous spiders in the world. They have a venomous bite and can be found throughout North America. Black widow spiders are medium-sized, with an average size of 1/2 inch (1.27 cm). The female is usually larger than the male, and she has a red hourglass shape on her abdomen. Male black widows are grayish or brownish, but they sometimes display red on their underside or legs. The female’s venom is 15 times stronger than that of other spiders, and it can kill animals such as dogs, cats, and humans if left untreated!

Jumping Spider

The jumping spider is a small spider that lives in trees and bushes. It has eight eyes, two of which are large and four of which are small. It also has two long front legs and two short back legs. The jumping spider can jump more than 50 times its own body length. It also can jump over 50 times its own height! It uses this ability to catch prey, which includes insects, other spiders, and even small birds or lizards. This spider is very fast and can run at speeds up to 1 meter per second (2 feet per second). The jumping spider lives in warmer climates because it cannot survive cold temperatures very well.
